Abhyanga Body Massage

Abyanga massage is a gentle
but firm full body massage from the toe to head using warm medicated oils.
The oils are chosen according to the prakriti i.e psychosomatic constitution
and the vikruti i.e. current state of balance or imbalance.
The massage is done in a soft rhythmic way and the gharshana increases circulation and stimulates the pores to accept the warm oil.
The massage techniques and guidelines are developed keeping the knowledge of channels and nadi locations in priority. Specific concentration on a harmonized stimulation of "marmas" i.e Energy points/Meridian points is given during the massage.
Hrishi Vaagbhatta defines marma as the meeting point of mamsa (i.e. muscle), asthi (i.e. bones), sira (i.e. vessels conveying body fluids and impulses), snayu (i.e. tendons), dhaman and sandhi (i.e. articulate points, specially bone points) and where the prana is present. This is similar with the Chinese Meridian concept.
According to psychosomatic constitution or disease, different types of oils are selected for Marma massage.
After the massage a steam bath or hot shower is highly recommended.

Feet are very important part
of our body as many nerves from many organs terminate in the feet. Foot
therapy helps to strengthen these nerves and restores health to many parts
of the body. There are two types of foot therapy:-
Foot Bowl Therapy
This is an ancient type of
therapy which helps in removing the excessive heat and toxins of the body.
In this process, the feet are first cleaned with warm water. Then by
application of medicated ayurvedic ghee, the foot is massaged using a bowl
made up of kansya (an alloy of bronze). The specific proportion of elements
in the alloy helps to bring out the excess heat and toxins in the body as we
continue to massage.
Foot Reflexology
This scientific process uses
the science of Meridian points (marmas) located in the feet by which the
vyana and apana vayu gets balanced, thus eliminating the doshas in the body.
This is a highly revitalizing therapy for tired feet and legs.

Nasya
or Nasal Therapy is instillation of herbal medicine through nose. Initially
a gentle massage is given to all the veins of the sinuses as well as the
veins connecting the nasal track with ears, eyes and the brain. Different
herbs or medicated oils or ghee is introduced into each nostril, one at a
time, in certain quantities. You then inhale forcefully through the nostrils
to atomize the mixture and distribute it throughout the sinuses. Our
olfactory nerve endings in the nasal cavity are exposed. They terminate in
the limbic area of the brain which is associated with our emotions. Thus we
can bring balance to our emotions and subsequently to our physiology by
using nasya techniques.Benefits
